John Christmann, president of the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, reported to the Summit Common Council that the First Aid Squad has met its capital campaign goal, raising the $5 million necessary to replace its 50-year-old headquarters building.
“Two great institutions helped to make this happen,” said Christmann. Investors Savings Bank and CEO Kevin Cummings, signed on as the campaign’s corporate sponsor, making the first major lead gift to kick-off the fundraising effort; and Overlook Medical Center stepped up to complete the campaign with a generous $260,000 gift made through the Overlook Foundation.”
